Privacy and security are the foundation of everything we build. Your events and your guests' data are always protected.
Our principles
Four pillars that guide how we handle data.
Private by default
All event data is strictly confidential. Nothing is shared publicly — ever.
Personal links
Each guest has a personal link. Photos and videos can't be reached without it.
GDPR compliant
We are a Swedish company and store all data within the EU. Your rights under GDPR are fully respected.
Your data, your control
Hosts can delete photos, guests and the whole event at any time. Guests can ask for their data to be removed by emailing privacy@myoccasio.se.
In detail
What data do we collect?
We collect the information needed to deliver the platform: names, emails, event details, guest lists, RSVP responses and uploaded media. We never collect more than necessary and never sell your data.
How do we protect your data?
All communication happens over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data is stored in secure data centres within the EU. Access to event data requires the guest's personal link or the host's login.
GDPR and your rights
As a data subject, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@myoccasio.se and we'll help you.
Photos and videos
Photos and videos are private per event. They are only shown to guests invited to that event, through their personal link, and only after the host has approved them; a guest always sees their own uploads. Approved photos can be shown on the live screen at the event, and nowhere else. Nothing is public. The host can delete any photo, and a guest can delete the photos they uploaded themselves.
Third-party services
We use Supabase for database and authentication (data stored within the EU), Vercel for hosting and Resend for email delivery. All services are carefully selected with a focus on security and GDPR compliance.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and language selection. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the platform is used. You can change your choice at any time.
